Have a 3-5 year plan … for hardware
Can you current build(s) last another 3 to 5 years? What happens in the event of a dead device? Is there another backup of that data and an idle device ready to house that backed up data? Most importantly: can you tell the difference between a HARDWARE problem and a SOFTWARE problem? If not, you may spend hundreds of dollars for literally no reason.
These are the kinds of questions to be asking oneself to continue computing comfortably in the coming years. If only there was someone who knew how to squeeze every possible cent out of every possible build, and could help you do the same for yourself and family!
